 What is URL and DNS :-

The complete address of any website is called a URL.
Any web browser has an address URL written to its address.
URLs are of 3 types:
1)absolute  2) Relative 3) Fragment

        


1)Absolute :-
URL that contain the transfer protocol, Server Name and Domain Name Mention.  Absolute URL are called.  example http: // www.google.com
2)Relative URL:-
URL in which only server name or domain name are mentioned.  Relative URL are called.example:- www.google.com
3) Fragment URL:-
The URL which are bookmarked in any web browser, after using that URL again, a # (hash) Symbol is placed in front of any selected URL. # Sign is called fragment.
Example #www.google.com
DNS :-
•Domain name system (DNS) By registering the website, that website can be accessed anywhere.
•These domain names are not purchased, only their facilities are provided.
•To access any website, it is necessary to have it registered in the Domain name system.
A space is found in the server by the domain name.

              



DNS are two types:-
1) Geographical Domain Name :- Domain names that belong to a country.
Example :-        .in    (India)
                          .pk.   (Pakistan)
                          .uk   (United kingdom)
2) Organisation Domain Name :- Domain names that belong to an organization.
Example:- raj. .edu.  .org.  .com.   .co.in.  .ac.in
 
• Domain Name system Is controlled by ICANN (internet corporation for assigned names and numbers).  It is being planned to include some more domain names in the future like.
